GS Caltex to supply immersion cooling fluid to LG Uplus data center

GS Caltex announced its supply of immersion cooling fluid to LG Uplus Corporation’s data center in South Korea. This fluid is provided to a demonstration room within LG Uplus’s hyperscale PyeongChon 2 data center to evaluate the stability and efficiency of running artificial intelligence servers in an immersion cooling environment.

Immersion cooling involves submerging heat-generating electronic equipment directly into non-conductive liquid. The Kixx Immersion Fluid S 30 is designed to meet the stringent thermal stability demands of data centers while minimizing impact on human health and the environment.

Since the introduction of the immersion cooling fluid, GS Caltex has been collaborating with both domestic and international partners to help validate its technology.

Similarly, to establish its testbed at its research and development (R&D) center for evaluating thermal reliability and performance, GS Caltex has collaborated with the US-based Super Micro Computer. .
