Sanyo Chemical Industries Ltd., a manufacturer and seller of performance chemicals, launched a new anti-wear and anti-seizure polymer additive, ACLUBE NS-100, specifically designed for Electric Vehicle (EV) E-Axle drive units. It offers multiple properties essential for e-fluid, including copper corrosion resistance, electrical insulation, and oxidation stability.

Addressing the challenges of low-viscosity lubricants to enhance the durability and efficiency of electric vehicles, Sanyo Chemical has developed a new polymer additive that maintains high anti-wear and anti-seizure properties even in low-viscosity environments, while also meeting the diverse performance requirements of E-fluid.

This additive offers the following features: Adsorptive functional groups on the side chains that enable the formation of a sufficiently thick oil film, even at low viscosity, reducing the risk of drive unit failure due to wear or seizure, contributing to higher efficiency and longer life of gear components, as well as providing the basic properties required for E-fluid.

Beginning as a manufacturer of soap and textile agents, Sanyo Chemical, established in 1949 in Kyoto, Japan, , has a diversified product portfolio that spans automotive lubricant additives, daily-use electronics, cosmetics, and medical equipment. .
