Perstorp, wholly owned subsidiary of PETRONAS Chemicals Group Berhad (PCG), announced the launch of its new portfolio of saturated synthetic polyol esters. Perstorp’s synthetic Engineered Fluids portfolio enables lubricant manufacturers to formulate performance, application-specific lubricants for demanding conditions across a wide temperature range. Perstorp’s synthetic esters are developed to deliver verified environmental performance, as demonstrated through the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Test 301 and the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) regulations. The range includes three synthetic esters:

• Synthetic-EF 5 for demanding low-temperature applications.

• Synthetic-EF 15 for applications requiring high performance and safety for effective operations.

• Synthetic-EF 22 for applications that demand reliability and top performance to ensure smooth operations.

Dr. Valentina Serra-Holm, Head of Engineered Fluids Solutions at Perstorp, commented, “With our longstanding expertise in ester chemistry and vertically integrated production, we’re able to offer exceptional consistency and control throughout the value chain. Combined with our global network of application labs and technical experts, we provide lubricant manufacturers with tailored solutions and hands-on development support. This makes us more than a supplier - we’re a true partner in enabling sustainable growth for lubricant manufacturers.”

This new portfolio is developed to meet the evolving technical, environmental, and performance demands of the lubricant industry. .
