Shell Lubricants and Hyundai Motor Company have renewed their global partnership for five years, extending a relationship that began in 2005 and has now reached its fifth renewal. The agreement covers collaboration in product development, motorsport engineering and aftersales solutions.
Under the renewed agreement, Shell will remain Hyundai Motor’s recommended global supplier of aftersales lubricants and will supply premium Shell Helix engine oils to Hyundai customers worldwide. The companies will continue developing advanced lubricant technologies and expand service marketing programmes aimed at improving customer satisfaction and strengthening their position in key aftersales markets.
The partnership will also focus on future mobility, with collaboration planned in next-generation e-fluids, thermal management, digital innovation and high-performance mobility. Shell and Hyundai said their combined expertise will support solutions aimed at improving vehicle performance, efficiency and sustainability.
The collaboration extends to Hyundai N Division, where the companies are co-engineering lubricants for high-performance engines and electric vehicles. The programme gives Shell a testbed for developing new products while providing a global platform to demonstrate its technologies to performance-focused customers.
