PAN-AFRICAN BRIEFING
Engen DRC, a subsidiary of Vivo Energy Group, has launched Shell lubricants in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), expanding its product offering for motorists, businesses and industrial and professional customers.
The launch follows the strategic partnership between Vivo Energy and Shell, under which Vivo Energy serves as a key partner for marketing Shell Lubricants across several African markets. Through Engen DRC, customers in the DRC will now have access to Shell’s internationally recognised lubricant range, known for its technology, performance and quality. The development also makes Engen DRC the official distributor of Shell lubricants in the country.
The products are designed for passenger cars, commercial vehi-cles, industrial equipment and other professional applications, with solutions aimed at protecting engines and equipment, supporting smooth operation and optimising performance.
Moussa Konaté, Managing Director of Engen DRC SA, said the launch demonstrates the strength of the Vivo Energy-Shell partnership and will improve access to an internationally recognised lubricant brand in the Congolese market.
Shell lubricants will be progressively introduced through Engen DRC’s service station network and dedicated distribution channels for professional and corporate customers. The company will also conduct information and awareness campaigns to help customers understand the different product ranges and select suitable solutions.
A Vivo Energy Group member since April 2024, Engen DRC operates fuel and lubricant businesses under the Engen and Shell brands and has the largest service station network in the DRC, where it has operated for more than three decades. .
