Aramco and FUCHS Sign Global Base Oils Agreement to Strengthen Long-Term Collaboration

Aramco and FUCHS have signed a Global Framework Agreement for Base Oils, formalising a strategic collaboration aimed at strengthening long-term cooperation between the two companies.

The agreement, signed on June 29, 2026, at FUCHS’ headquarters in Mannheim, Germany, establishes a structured framework to deepen the relationship between FUCHS and Aramco, including members of the Aramco Base Oils Alliance. It is designed to reinforce existing partnerships while creating opportunities for further long-term value creation across the global base oils supply chain.

The framework is expected to enhance collaboration in areas of mutual interest, providing a foundation for closer engagement as both companies seek to support evolving market demands and strengthen their positions within the lubricants industry.

The signing ceremony was attended by Hussain A. Al Qahtani, Aramco Senior Vice President of Fuels, whose participation underscored the strategic importance of the agreement. FUCHS described the milestone as a significant step in expanding its relationship with Aramco and acknowledged Al Qahtani’s contribution to the successful conclusion of the agreement. The partnership reflects the growing trend of lubricant manufacturers and base oil suppliers pursuing long-term strategic alliances to improve supply security, foster innovation, and create greater value across the global lubricants value chain. .
